Went to sentosa with the tribers today! :):)

We ate at Superdog and then made a long detour to Forever21 (where we spent lots of time in the changing room, and both j & peis bought stuff, and I v v nearly bought sth).

Heh because of our shopping habits, we only got the beach around 1 although we met at 10.30 (and were on time!).

It was a v hot day. We found a nice spot on Palawan and sat there eating and playing cards. And doing our favourite thing, taking photos. Heh. :)

Friday was the last day of school before the mid-sem break.

That night, I watched Law IV production with the law peeps. Had dinner at the clementi Botak Jones and it took longer than expected so we were late! And missed the first couple of scenes. But the production was v v good! The singing was not outstanding, but I liked the script and the music and the acting. It was really funny too. :):) After that, we went to Hacienda. Was a bit headachey so I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have, but I found the place quite lovely. If only the kitchen were open at night.

Went to junbin's house last night to watch the Man U vs. Chelsea match. (Heh I nearly typed 'v'.) It was quite amusing watching it with a bunch of Man U diehards (+ pak the token Chelsea supporter). Watched rugby after that, and it was pretty interesting. I think it was the first time I watched rugby. I know the players are supposed to be really big and buff and strong but when I look at the field it just looks like a lot of fat guys wrestling. Oh well, that's just my opinion.

Bleah. Hols are always shorter than you expect them to be. Last week, in anticipation of this week's break, I printed out a bunch of recipes that I wanted to try. And I thought that in a week I'd have the property assignment covered, no problem. And trial advo on fri? Lots of time to prepare. How wrong I was, as always.

Tuition yesterday was horrendous. I think my kid is completely horrified. She's Korean, but she spent a couple of years in China, so she can only speak Korean, Mandarin and a smattering of English. So it makes sense that sometimes I explain things to her in Mandarin. Or not.

Yesterday, she said that she didn't understand anything in her History class. That's perfectly understandable, because I mean it's hard to understand stuff when you're being taught in a language you don't know well at all. So I v brilliantly offered to try to help her. And, you know, the thing is I really did keep to my word. I tried damn hard, but I don't think she got it.

But seriously, even in English my history is not that great, what more in Mandarin? Boooo. It's not really my fault. How do you translate things like Russian dictator and Cold War and left-wing coalition government? :(:(

I had 5 cakes and 5 cupcakes in all. :)

It started at 12am on the 13th of Sep, when I was called out for supper. :):)



Then that morning, I had another cake from my family. :)

Then that day after company lecture, jq & I went to Greenwood for lunch + icecream. :)

Later in school, glenda called me out of CLT. I returned to CLT 5 cupcakes happier. :) (Four Gastronomia cupcakes from glenda & beek, and a chocolate-pistachio one baked by j! Who'd rushed down to btc cos she's v v nice. :):))

Didn't go for mooncake madness or shopping with j&peis after CLT, but I had a v v v nice dinner with jq!! Wheeee. We went to Gunther's, which is now at the top of my list of highly-recommended restaurants. :):) I was rather horrified at the prices and I felt damn bad ordering stuff, but the food was really really good. Everything I tried was lovely, esp the pasta, which was absolutely divine. :) Heeee.

The next day I had more surprises.

I went to school early expecting a law fcg exco meeting, but instead got a cake and a song and many well wishes. :)

Then later that evening, after watching No Reservations with jq, I was taken to a house in Nassim Road (supposedly his friend's house), expecting to be cooked dinner. What I got instead was this:

The thing is, a few days ago, a certain someone (cough*zhengx*cough) let slip during prop tutorial that we were celebrating my birthday at jojoy's house (and then he told me to pretend I didn't know anything). Soon after, I received an email from jojoy about the Mad Hatter party at her house. And then jq asked if I minded not going cos he had planned something, and later asked me bring a hat cos mich wanted to borrow one. And then in lecture hailing wished me happy birthday and gave me chocolates and said sorry she and ivan couldn't make it for my party. And then on Friday evening dennis called to ask if we were on our way to jojoy's house. Heh.

So I wasn't that surprised but I was v touched nonetheless. Wheeee I have such nice thoughtful friends (and bf). :):)

Wheee yesterday was such a good day. Ate lots and spent lots. :):)

Went to PS after church yest. Had about an hour to kill before I met my friends so I decided to go shopping! And within that time, I bought a pair of heels, a dress and a pair of trousers. :):) Very happy stuff. :):)

Lunched at Wild Rocket! :) It's a lovely place, only rather out of the way. The food was pretty good and not too pricey. Pasta is happy stuff. :) Desserts were yummy and quite original but for that price, I've had better. Lalala. I love food.

After our very long lunch + dessert, I went to meet the law ppl, who were shopping. We ate icecream!! And after that a couple of us went to michelle's house to play mj (I lost close to $20 boooooo), and we had pizzahut for dinner.

I think I ingested about 3573829574 calories yesterday. But t'was fun!! I like. I think I'm gonna do this on a regular basis. But a bit broke now.

Friday night-ed last night for the first time in a long time. :):) Went to the new Timbre at boat quay. It's really breezy and it's got a lovely view of the river, but the music wasn't really to my taste (except towards the end, where the guy added some really funny bits to his songs). And the margarita tasted strangely different, and the service wasn't all that great. But then again they just opened and teething problems are normal. Supper'd till 3, and I had a couple of hours' sleep before I had to drag myself out of bed for tuition this morn.

Heh ironically I spent most of English tuition today speaking Chinese, cos I've got a new kid and she can only speak Korean and some Chinese. I've realised my Chinese is really quite horrid. :(:( Couldn't explain a lot of things. And, I wanna learn a new language too. Somehow I'm really un-disciplined when it comes to learning new things. I really really want the skill but then again I'm really really lazy. Boo.

My first kid cancelled tuition today when I was like ten minutes from her house. -_- Damn sian. On the bright side, I had time to kill before my 2nd so I went to Provence and bought lots of bread! Heh what I tried was v yummy and had lots of cream cheese in it. :):) I love bread. Can't wait for breakfast wheeee.

There are so many things I need. I need to rant. There are things I need to say but can't find it in me to. I need to find a balance, and I need to not feel like this everytime something untoward happens. I need more laughter in my life and less tears. I need independence, but at the same time I need support, and I need to get my priorities straight.

I need to know that it's all worth the while.

I need time. To think. Maybe.

What a self-centered post.

Omg I'm so dead. I'm looking at the company tutorial for this week and I have no idea how to even start. My MSWord document is very nearly blank even though I opened it an hour ago. I have stuff like 'Question 2.a)' skip two lines and 'Question 2.b)' skip two lines and nothing else. Help help help help help.

I watched three nice movies over the past three days. Wheee. :):) Hairspray was a very happy movie. The costumes and the set were so bright and candy-coloured! Reminded me of Down With Love but with a better plot. And they were singing!! Like High School Musical heeee. :):) Evan Almighty was surprisingly heartwarming. I liked the scene where 'God' talked to Evan's wife; it was very thought-provoking. And Ratatouille! :):) Seeing all the food made me wanna eat. Luckily I had clam chowder and two types of bread and 8 types of sushi with me so I was v satisfied. -nods-
