I want a picnic. The kind where you sit on red-checked mats and eat food brought in woven baskets, Enid Blyton food like ham sandwiches and blueberry tarts and shortbread. It has to be sunny but not glaringly so, and cool so you don't sweat, like in Aussie. Lush green grass all around and when you lie down you can't see buildings, only miles and miles of sky.

Went to sn today with beeks and glenda. Hoho we always sign in as 'visiting teachers' but in fact we never step past the canteen and fam lounge. It's v sad the thing sn girls miss most is the food. Realised that 10 formative years of my life were spent at sn, I have a lot of fond memories of it, things that no one but an sn girl will get. The lollipop man in the mornings; the yin shui si yuan pond; the red bridge where I used to catch butterflies; iced tea at uncle mobeen's; one hour recess breaks; hopscotch; the father barre statue (hoho I just typed statute- been reading too much law); mirrors everywhere; orange bowl & blue bowl; being called bao bei. :) Miss sn.

Took my sis out today!! Haha we ate at Pepper Lunch, then I dragged her to shop. You should have seen the way she was complaining. And sitting down every possible opportunity she got. I can't believe we're related. :) Met xin after that. Haven't seen her in a v long time! Like many months. We had a good chat at Coffee Bean, then went shopping. Hoho I bought STUFF! - earrings, nail polish, top & jeans. Cher is one broke girl. Will not spend anymore. In fact, will leave ATM card at home this wed when she goes out.

Think I'm getting sick. :(

I want to kill my closed memo.

I am convinced that in 4 years, I will have VERY STRONG ARMS.
1) My laptop is heavy.
2) I need my laptop. A lot.
3) My textbooks and casebooks are heavy.
4) I need my books. A lot.
5) I spend at least half an hour walking to and from bus stops everyday.

Booo am so stressed I just ate a ton of cake. :( I need 48 hours/day.

Went to send rah off yesterday. Hoho why she took a flight to Bangkok when she's going to UK is a mystery to me. Will miss her and her princess airs. Am waiting for my white beret and scones and Oxford memorabilia, sarah! In the afternoon I met jq, pw and michelle to study but they pangseh'd me and we ended up watching The Banquet instead. I hadn't watched a chinese movie in damn long, and had to read the subtitles all the way through. It was a very violent movie with very long, draggy, dramatic shots which were meant to be good cinematography or sth. Haha but it was fun. Went for Ben's 21st birthday party after that. Was dreading it cos he has 5 dogs, but when I went there they were all in the backyard except for this cocker spaniel which was really cute and harmless. The food was good, and so was the company. A group of us walked to the playground and back with cups of Baileys in our hands, and the light drizzle was really refreshing.

I badly need space.

10 reasons why today rocked, even though it was an 8.15pm day, I had a contract tutorial, and I got jacked a zillion times by numerous persons who shall remain unnamed (in no order of merit or chronology):

1. I woke up to a Jack's Place blackforest cake, a bouquet of roses and a very sweet card, a wonderful surprise orchestrated by my fav NSboy who is in Taiwan.

2. I received two pints of B&J's Cherry Garcia ice cream (BEST. FLAVOUR. EVER.) - one from my sis, one from beeks&g.

3. I received well wishes from many very very nice people. :):)

4. I got through contract tutorial unscathed!!

5. The raggers surprised me with an Awfully Chocolate choc cake!

6. My family surprised me with an Awfully Chocolate choc banana cake!

7. My fav NSboy and jacs called from Taiwan and HK respectively to wish me Happy Birthday. :)

8. The tribers came down to surprise me after my torts tutorial ended at 8.15!

9. My parents very nicely came to fetch me home from school.

10. Presents!!!

Boo. Law school is stressful. Many readings = many late nights (late for me, I mean) = zits. :(

Went to the Zouk flea market with the raggers today... Didn't buy much, only a bracelet and a pair of earrings cos the place was really crowded and smoky and probably a fire hazard. I really like what I bought though. :) After that we went to Great World City, where I think I've never been before. They sell really wonderful cinnamon buns there! In a place called Cinnabun American Cafe or something like that. Was so happy to see cinnamon buns cos they've become really scarce since Saint Cinnamon closed down its outlets in Singapore. The plain cinnamon bun I ordered was good- really soft and warm and I think it had applesauce in it or sth. Am def going back for more. :):)

Hoho am in lecture now!! Feel kind of bad but being online is too tempting. Am v sleepy so must keep myself awake!

Watched She's the Man with jy, beeks, glen, dee and rah in jingmin's house on wed!! LOVE that show. It's damn funny and it doesn't hurt that it's full of eyecandy. :) And we are very silly giggly girls.

Went out with nic yest. Had jap food at Bugis! The food wasn't excellent but the dessert was really good. Green tea ice-cream with lots of jelly and chewy stuff and red bean paste. Haha okay it's a lot yummier than it sounds. Watched The Devil Wears Prada!! I actually have the book; bought it years go but I never got past the first chapter. I really liked the movie though. Full of eyecandy too but I mean the clothes. And I finally bought Persuasion with the pretty cover!! Yaaaaay I've been itching to read Austen ever since I read the letter from the nephew to the uncle in Felthouse v. Bindley. And I bought two tops and a belt, and wrapped the day up with pizza deliverered to my house. Heeee so happy.

It struck me today that it's actually kind of nice, walking through the Botanic Gardens everyday to get to school. I guess I don't notice it when the sun is blazing and I'm sweating through my jeans but when it isn't so hot I can better appreciate it. It's very calming to be surrounded by so much greenery and beauty. I like walking; it's therapeutic. :)

I've had a good, packed weekend. Sleepover at jy's!! :) Rah, dee, beeks and glen were alr there by the time I got there cos I spent the evening desperately trying to finish up my closed memo. Jy baked spectacular frosted cupcakes- choc with pink frosting, and vanilla with vanilla buttercream and sugared orange peel. (Whenever I bake cupcakes I feel so happy when the cupcakes turn out that I decide I'm too lazy to make the frosting, so my cupcakes are always kind of sad and frosting-less.) Heee we did silly, fun things like writing a '5 things I will have done by the time I'm 25' list and watching (and singing along to, the horror) Disney Channel's High School Musical. It was a much-needed timeout from schoolwork, really.

Next morn I rushed home to bake a cake for nic's birthday, then rushed out again to meet him. We went shopping!! I love shopping. And it was a refreshing change to not be the only one buying things and feeling guilty about it. :) Had a very late dinner at New York, New York. Ate bbq spareribs and realised why I will never be a surgeon. Nic's birthday today! Yummy lunch at Jack's Place with nic and his family. Chocolate mousse cake!! Hoho see why I love weekends? One disturbing thing though- today nerissa gave me a math problem to solve and I just kind of stared at it blankly. Pri 6 maths and I have no idea how to do it. Am sad. Am gonna devote time to try to solve it tonight.

I just finished my closed memo!! (Or at least, the first draft of it.) REJOICE!!
