Aah, I can't believe Dean went and got married! Luke shd have told him! Poor Rory. It was so sweet, the way he kept mumbling her name when he was drunk. And the ending! Nearly broke my heart. And Taylor and his stupid ice-cream truck. Sigh. I so miss Gilmore Girls.

Good luck for CTs, everyone!

Have you ever had to open a new window for www.dictionary.com, periodically typing in words you don't know the meaning of to find out their meanings (so you can slack online and convince yourself that you're really gaining knowledge) while reading one entry of someone's blog?

I now have. And I'm beginning to wonder if said someone uses a thesaurus while blogging.

I used to be a perfectionist. What happened?

Sunday, June 20, 2004 10:08 AM

I'm giving up on Sophie's World. I've been struggling through it for six months, I'm only halfway through, and I can't remember half of what I read.

Thursday, June 17, 2004 8:55 PM

Yesterday morn I met dee in the lib again to study. It was bad. While I was attempting (and failing) to understand acid-base eq, she was going through Chaucer and Evelyn dunno-who (who's really a guy). It made me really really regret taking econs instead of lit. :(

Had a sleepover at Sarah's house yesterday with rah, dee, glen and jy. They're the silliest people ever, really. I am not going to be sharity elephant. We had dinner at chomp chomp! A first for us, I think. I mean the hawker centre part. Spoilt, pampered brats. Really nice food, but super unhealthy. And we walked round and round The Circle, with rah doing her princess wave thing. Starlit (cos there was NO MOON) romp by the pool! It's not what it sounds like, really, but that was, in my opinion, the best part of the sleepover.

Fell asleep watching Josie and the Pussycats. Brainless movie much. And today we watched American Wedding! And I discovered that I like cereal with choc milk a lot. In fact I just bought some. And we made lunch. Or, at least, we made fruit/egg/veg salad and warmed up the baked rice that rah's mom cooked. But, you know, it still takes a lot of skill. They tried to play a song after learning about two chords of the guitar. Needless to say, failed miserably. And we played Monopoly and I went to jail 3 times before I ever got to Pass Go. But I ended up with three hols and a wad of fake cash. Ya. And then we left before dinner. LOHBEEKEE WHY DIDN'T YOU COME??? Miss them already. :(

Just now I bumped into qian yi while doing grocery shopping with my family at ntuc(yes, v glam, I know). We chatted for a bit and she said that I was 'very, very different' now. A couple of times. But I don't feel like I've changed much. But in retrospect I was all chirpy and sing-song-y. It's weird.

Perhaps it's premature, but I'm already getting stressed out about A's. Common tests will come and go but A's are important. And I think I'm going to screw them up because... SPA. And PW. And I haven't had a single decent GP lesson yet. Not one. Ok, it's been a long entry for me. Most of which is nonsense and rambling. Shall stop here. Goodnight.

Tuesday, June 15, 2004 10:29 PM

Went library-ing again today with dee rah glen jy beek. Didn't get much studying done. Cos of the twits/bimbos. V distracting, they are! But they make for very fun company too. :)

Monday, June 14, 2004 8:04 PM

I'm rotting here waiting for my choc cake to bake. Another 15-25 min. Went library-ing with dee today. Ate lots. Studied.. some. Fun, fun! Studying is an expensive business. Esp when you do it all day in a lib cafe. Display of cakes and teas very distracting. Am seriously screwed on the studying front. Also projwork. My group hasn't met once since school let out. Not once. While other groups have started interviewing and handing out surveys and all. Damn.

Sunday, June 13, 2004 9:24 PM

I got a new phone! Sony Ericsson T610- the one beek used to have. I like it, or at least what I've seen of it, since I haven't started using it. It's all squarish and cute. But I miss my old phone already.

Went out with xiaoyan today. Wanted to watch a movie but there were no good shows and tix for eternal sunshine were sold out. Can't wait for 13 going on 30 and Mean Girls to open. I think I might also wanna watch Stepford Wives. We didn't buy clothes nor shoes so we made up for it by spending lots at Body Shop. At least, she did. I only bought what I needed. *nods* She nearly drove me crazy with her silly theory. No logic at all, seriously. Had fun, though my legs are aching now. I don't know why. I think I'm losing my stamina for shopping. Need to read SHOPAHOLIC&SISTER. JY!

Friday, June 11, 2004 11:10 AM

Happy Birthday Beek! :)

Wednesday, June 09, 2004 10:30 AM

I just baked a cake! It's spongy and lemon. It's yummy. Or maybe I'm just biased, since I baked it and all. Even though it wasn't from scratch. But my mom said it was good. So did my grandmother. I'm so glad I finally know how to use the oven.

Jy! When are we baking our apple pie???

NJC Western Dance rocks. :D:D:D I couldn't stay over, but I had loads of fun at the chalet anyway. Playing mahjong with the tiny tiles and bbq-ing and collecting 'firewood' and building the sand-ballerina and watching runyu (who's underage! I am shocked!) get drunk. Oh yay, I'm gonna watch Troy today. All the way over at Tiong Bahru, no less. I'm supposed to be studying now. Darn. Oh well nevermind. I still have 2.5 weeks left.

Oh no I forgot! It's one day belated, but.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!!!!!!!!

Tuesday, June 08, 2004 9:31 AM

Nothing to post.

Oh, I got a digicam! Yay. V fun. Except that the batt runs out like nobody's business.

I've been out every single day of the hols except for last Tuesday. V v bad. Must stop. But I haven't got my shopping done! Got my demis skirt yesterday, but I still need to buy a school bag and shorts and presents, among other things. Needless to say, I'm rather screwed on the studying front. Haven't studied at all, except for what I studied for the phys topical quiz last Fri, and reading chapter five econs notes on the mrt yesterday. I think I shd learn from Bliss and take my notes everywhere I go.

jy beek glen dee rah: When are we having our amk lib thing? Need it very badly.

Sunday, June 06, 2004 11:57 AM

I can't believe I forked out another 8.50 (8.70, actually, including booking fees) to re-watch Potter. I mean, the R/Hr rocks and all, but I don't think the movie in general merited a second watch. (GLENDA! You're supposed to pay for half my tic!) Still, it was worth spending time with jy glen beek. Had a fun time catching up with them.

Went for pre-u sem in the morn yesterday. Rather boring and pointless, actually. After that I went to meet jy in suntec, where she was supporting her friend who joined Singapore Idol. Met ppl there! Shu & Xin & friends of friends. Left with glen to go buy tix for Potter, and ended up being persuaded to watch it.
-_- I buckle so easily under peer pressure it's not even funny. Beek's style has changed so much. From berms and tees to halters and miniskirts. Glen and I were rather shocked. I spotted her from the back but I was like, 'Is that beek? It can't be her; she doesn't dress like that.' But it was. :D

I'm going for Ballet Under the Stars this evening. Anyone else going?

Thursday, June 03, 2004 7:55 PM

Darn. I'm supposed to be offline in <7 min to study for phys. I have a physics topical quiz tomorrow which I completely haven't studied for. Oh no oh no oh no. Gravitation, Forces, Circular Motion and Work, Energy, Power. Okay, apparently my estimation skills aren't that good. Time check with glen says I have 3 min left.

Watched Potter today! V v good, though it was too short. Yay, I continue visiting the potter sites again! I've been avoiding them cos of spoilers and such. The R/Hr was absolutely adorable! Half the time I was just grinning at the screen and throwing gloating looks at Ee. I think the rest were rather exasperated with us. Oh yay, glenda's giving me a 5 min extension! Apparently cos she likes reading blogs. Sirius rather rocked. Lupin sucked. Reminded me of the duke in Moulin Rouge, with a particularly bad hair day. Sadly, hardly any Ginny, and Draco's hair was even worse than Lupin's. Had a free ride on the Knight Bus. It was rather lame, but we took pics! And now I have a whole set of the Potter bookmarks. I think I shall isolate the ones of Ron and Hermione. :) Just kidding, Ee.

Oh, we're gonna have a class outing tmr. S09. Hopefully most ppl can make it this time. We keep wanting to have class outings but there's never a time when everyone's free. Rather sad, actually, considering how much we used to go out during the first three months.

Happy Birthday Xiaoyan! Don't worry so much about turning 17. It's going to be fantastic.

Okay, glenda says shoo now. So. Bye.

Tuesday, June 01, 2004 9:49 AM

HP on the front cover of Life! today! Yaaay. "There are hints of a teenage romance with awkward hand-holding scenes between Grint and Watson." Darn sweet, I tell you. :D:D:D PoA in two days!!! You're prob gonna be getting a lot of HP-centred, SQUEEing posts from me for the next couple of days.

Bear with it.

Went to watch Troy yesterday, with some of the dance ppl, but at the last moment Shi Wei pulled out, so it was just Bron, Chii Tarng and I. While I was on the mrt I got a call from Bron. 'I'm at ps now, the tickets for Troy are all sold out, can we watch the day after tomorrow instead?' 'Oh, but I'm not free the day after tomorrow!' 'HHHUUUUHHHH?'

Miscommunication, obviously. Haha. So we ended up watching 'Day After Tomorrow', which is a movie, not a day. It was darn good. The effects were amazing. I adored the part where all the birds took flight. It was, like, whoosh. I was blown away. It was v cold in the movie theatre, what with all that ice on screen. I wonder, if it had been a movie shot in the Sahara Desert, would I have been warmer?

cher
21, in law school and loving it (most of it, at least). a sucker for white roses and fairytale endings, snail mail and pretty cupcakes. emo songs are soul food. tea and chocolate are staples. food is happy stuff. everyone should read to kill a mockingbird and the desiderata, and watch amelie, and bake bread just for the smell of it. walking at night is nice, sometimes.

hello there :)
