Yay, went for a book fair today. Book fairs generally make me happy. I got three books; A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh (with illustrations!), Paradise House by dunno-who, and this book by Margaret Mitchell that I never knew existed before. Lost Laysen. Apparently many people didn't know of it either, till recently. Recent can mean anytime within the last ten years. I considered getting sth non-fiction, like the biography of Plath or Renoir or the book on saints, but decided not to in the end.

There's a new Becky Bloomwood book! Shopaholic & Sister. The plot sounds v cliche though. Long-lost sister and all that. Today I saw it at times and read the first couple of pages and... jy, don't cry, but your beloved Luke Brandon now has long hair and earrings. If someone gets the book, can you lend it to me? Thanks much much in advance.

I've been eating a lot lately. Not just a lot, but extravagantly. Pizza Hut dinner and Swensens dessert on Friday; Delifrance breakfast, BK lunch and Big O cakes on Sat; Macs breakfast and Tony Romas ribs today. Aaarrhh. Gotta stop eating so much; I can't afford it.

Hols are here.
Now let me sleep.

The NE project's about the silliest project I've ever done (or am trying to do). Firstly, not everyone's birthday falls on National Day, Racial Harmony Day, Elections Day, etc., etc. Do they know how bloody hard it is to find an event that took place in Singapore history on the 13th of September? Secondly, the entire project isn't supposed to exceed 80 words. 80 words is very little. And many, many things have to be included in these 80 words. I know it's supposed to be concise and all, but, really, it should also be somewhat coherent. Thirdly, how are we supposed to find original and authentic photos of things that happened in the past, turn back time? Lastly, if they think they're going to stir up warm feelings of patriotism in us by making us do projects like these, then they're sorely mistaken.

My dad's applying for Canada.

I knew I screwed up my phys prac. But then it didn't seem so bad, at least not until we began discussing our answers and I realised that I neglected something very very very important. I hate pracs. I waste time and then I panic and then I can't do anything right.

So anyway after the prac I was already in a bad mood, but at least I was glad it was over, then I saw/was reminded of something that put me in an even worse mood. There's something wrong with me. I can't find it in me to be happy until I've got absolutely every single aspect of my life down to a T.

I went to the amk lib to destress. Borrowed 2 books, felt really good cos one's a book I've been looking for for a long time, and the other's a fun, Sophie-Kinsella sort of chick lit book. I absolutely cannot wait for this week to be over. I just want to crawl under covers and sleep the rest of my life away.

I bought my u2 skirt! The khaki coloured wrap one with the flowery print thing inside that no one can see. See it here. (The one that says 'cotton sheeting wrap skirt with floral printed inner waistband.) Heeeee.

Oh, everyone shd go read the interview with Pico Iyer in Saturday's Life! I think the article is entitled 'darkness at noon' or sth.

I want to print out a calendar for June. I just need one. With boxes for each day and prefably a nice template to go with it. Need to plot my holiday schedule. I came online, planning to find one and print it out in five minutes. The thing is, I didn't know they were so hard to find. Or maybe I'm just picky. Anyway, I've been online for about half an hour already and I'm no closer to finding one. Aarh.

Aarh. I want the hols to come NOW. It's not that I don't like school; I'm surprisingly enjoying myself in NJ, despite the mugger culture and all. I mean, it's not like I'm not used to it, coming from 4U. :D But hols used to mean skirt day, shopping trips, movie marathons, book sprees, people-watching at starbucks, lounging around the house sipping OJ and flipping through Cleo, parking in front of the tv watching stacks of vcds, etc., etc. Oh, and a little bit of homework, crammed in around the last two days or so. Now our common tests are AFTER the holidays, which means our hols are actually meant for studying. Which, you know, kind of defeats the whole purpose of having hols. But I need the sleep. Desperately. I'm so behind on lectures because I keep falling asleep and even when I manage to keep awake, it's just barely, and all I do is copy notes when there are notes to be copied and stone the rest of the time. V v bad.

Okay, must go now. Gotta do math. Trigo tutorial 4. The only things I have on tmr are 2 tutorials and PW. I don't know why I bother. Oh, and there's sports day too. I haven't actually had the experience, but I think NJ sports day is nothing like sn's. For one thing, it's AFTER SCHOOL. Also, there's like zero house spirit, except for maybe Aerius house. The purple one. Okay, I know I'm rambling here. I think it's a lame attempt to try and put off trigo for as long as I possibly can. Which is not very long. Must go now. Goodnight.

Check this out. I swear, I haven't been this excited since the o level history paper last November.

My grandpa passed away today. My mom's dad. Please say a little prayer for him.

Went to watch Van Helsing with Xin, Russell and Wei Qi yesterday. Met shu, and it turned out we were watching the same show! Oh, and they showed the PoA trailer before it started! Not the french versh though. So sad. No lovely R/Hr bits. No wonder Singaporeans are so deluded about shipping. The movie was darn scary, esp the first part. Lots of shocks. The effects were really good, but then again I wouldn't know, as I spent a quarter of the movie staring into my nachos. The brides of Dracula creeped me out the most. Reminded me a little of the twins in The Matrix and veelas when they're not-so-nice. Eek.

After the movie WQ (who used to be in beek's class in hc) and I went to meet beek and her friends. All I can say is, hc ppl are really... interesting. Seriously. Had fun, though parts of it were darn awkward. Haha.

Anyway, I have chem spa next week and a huge math test that covers everything we've learnt, till trigo 1. Did I mention that I'm busy this entire weekend? I'm gonna be so screwed.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true

Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Words have failed me, as you can see.

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The advertisement for the PoA movie is out in today's papers. In Life!. It's coloured and all, very pretty. When I saw it I started shrieking (which kind of scared my family) and promptly cut it out. I'm gonna start checking the papers everyday for PoA ads. :) Tribers, shall we start planning our PoA sleepover?

21, in law school and loving it (most of it, at least). a sucker for white roses and fairytale endings, snail mail and pretty cupcakes. emo songs are soul food. tea and chocolate are staples. food is happy stuff. everyone should read to kill a mockingbird and the desiderata, and watch amelie, and bake bread just for the smell of it. walking at night is nice, sometimes.

hello there :)
