Oh help.

Sunday, July 30, 2006 9:27 PM

I can feel it unraveling at the seams already. :(

Angst is not glam, no matter how much OC you watch.

12:29 PM

Am in a somewhat melancholy (melancholic? which?) mood, and so I'm listening to Sugar Ray, which I have never liked. Somehow it's v relaxing in a lazy summer afternoon kind of way. The week seems to have whizzed by and crawled by at the same time. 4U reunion at Fish&Co glasshouse seems to have taken place an age ago, when it was really only on Wed. I feel like I haven't seen my friends in damn long even though it's only been 4 days. Rag is tough stuff, in more ways than one. Missed Sentosa Day with the tribers, to name one, and despite all this I'm not sure we're getting anywhere. My stunts are not going up, which is what I'm most worried about. My social life has dwindled to dinner with rag ppl and weekends. Not that these are less fun or important, but these are the ONLY things going on now. Was in a terrible mood on fri evening, but Nic + hot fudge sundae = :)

Watched The Lake House yesterday. It's good! Really sweet and sad and romantic. And of course I loved the references to Austen & Dostoyevsky, even though I've read neither Persuasion nor Crime and Punishment. But I will! Soon, or when I finish the 20 or so books sitting untouched on my shelf. :) Played tennis yest! Or tried to. Have come to the conclusion that I am really not meant to go near balls. Got whacked twice, on the head and in the eye. In the end I gave up and went to use the treadmill instead.

I would have been there if I could, you know that. Please don't make this harder for me than it already is.

Next week, rag is 10-10. That's like 12 hours a day of pointed toes, turn-out and hopping around like mad for our swanlake routine. And stunts! Am terrified of stunts. I have this tendency to panic and scream whenever I feel myself getting tossed. Ohh but yesterday my temp partner & I managed to do 3 parts out of 4 of Sex Tonight (that's a stunt, btw)! Quite an achievement, yay. :) Woke up with my entire body aching though.

Met beek, glen & dee after rag yest for dress day! Hoho but I realised that a yellow sundress is not v appropriate for a night out. And bought something pretty but not sure if I'll ever wear it out. We had dinner at Modesto's and we ordered one tiramisu each. Terribly sinful stuff, and the portions were v generous. Wanna go back again, but next time with j & rah too!

Stolen from Ee Ling, cos I'm bored:

My teacher once said nothing that I remember, honestly. I have had one or two really good teachers but I'm one of those in-one-ear-out-the-other people.

Never in my life will I say no to chocolate cake.

The one person who can drive me nuts, but then can always make me smile - this is true of many people, actually.

I like surprises, rainy days spent at home and nice people.

The last time i laughed was when I was chatting with j, g and d on MSN.

My hair is shoulder-length, a little too blah for my liking.

My feet are kind of small. I don't think about them much.

Last Christmas I tried to learn to play Christmas carols on the piano.

When i turn my head left, i see the laundry hanging in the balcony.

When i turn my head right, i see my sister watching Bring It On.

When i look down, i see a keyboard. Hands.

The craziest recent event was Law Camp, Night 4. I have a sad life, I know.

By this time next year I will be tanner, thinner, smarter. Hopefully.

One time at a family gathering my cousins and I crawled under the restaurant table and poked everyone's shoes. That was several times, and very long ago.

You know i like you if - you don't know. But I generally like people.

If i won an award, the first person i'd thank is my mom.

Triangles are ugly geometric shapes, nice only in the form of french toast.

My ideal breakfast is POST Blueberry Morning cereal in soya bean milk, and a cup of milk tea.

If you make me really happy I will be v nice to you.

Boys are mostly fun to hang out with.

I'd stop my wedding if I seriously thought I'd be marrying the wrong person.

The world could do without injustice, ignorance and toilet humour.

I'd rather lick the belly of a cockroach than lick the belly of a cat.

Most recent thing you've bought yourself is a Mr Bean ice-cream cone.

Most recent thing someone else bought you is clothes!! My mommy is nice. :)

My least favourite time of the day is noon, when the sun is blazing.

The last time i was high I laughed a lot.

The last person i talked to told me to pass her a cup of coffee.

Last night I had dinner with my boyfriend & his family.

There's this girl i know who just bought 6 pairs of shoes in 2 days.

There's this guy i know who is going to have his braces out this sat. Haha I don't know why I said that.

I'll tell the next person who makes me really happy Thanks! And smile.

I'm listening to Purest of Pain by Son by Four.

I last ate bak kwa! :):)

My bedsheet is blue. Or white. Or a combination of both.

I smell fabric softener.

On my table, i have a ton of things.

My full name is not to be revealed online.

On monday before rag I went swimming! Only I swam about half a lap before I stopped to chat with jy and before we knew it it was pouring. :( A super cheesy (literally) lunch at breeks cheered us up though, hee. On wed after rag I had dinner with rag ppl then went to meet dee, jy, glen, beek & rah for drinks at liquid kitchen. Yay I love us, we understand one another even when everyone's talking at full speed at the same time & gesticulating madly. And we're similarly swaku, we didn't know what to do with the orange slice that came with my chocolate martini so I ended up just discreetly prodding it every now and then with my straw. Yest after rag I went for Joel's 21st birthday party with my OG mates. THERE WAS A CAT!! Which absolutely made my night, of course. But we went indoors, and everything was great from then. Distributed cards for bridge but we never actually started the game. :) Badminton this morn with nee, jacs and beek, and we had tau huay for lunch so I felt super healthy! Then I came home and ate crackers and ice-cream and such. Oh well. As you can see, my activities this week have mostly been before/after rag. And the trend will continue cos rag practice will be ALL THE TIME from next week on. :( I alr spend like 3-4 hours and abt $5 on transport each day. Quite depressing. And I'll be missing all the shopping & Sentosa & fun stuff next week cos I can only make dinner & after! K lah, but the dance and stunts are quite fun actually. So are the ppl.

Yay the weekend is here, happy stuff. :)

Hoho I am one happy girl. Mommy's birthday today so we had a yummy dinner at Soup Restaurant. Fell in love with the Samsui Ginger Chicken. Seriously, I'm the kind of person who only eats rice and chilli when eating chicken rice, but this one was really good. The concept is kind of like Peking Duck. You smother a big piece of lean chicken with this really yummy ginger dip, add half a slice of cucumber, roll it all up in a lettuce leaf and eat it like a springroll. Trust me, it tastes a lot better than it sounds. :) Then when we came home we cut the cake I baked this afternoon; dark chocolate cake with nutella frosting. Sweet things make me smile.

Rag practice again tmr. Hee I've been seeing my OG mates nearly everyday! Found out that they're foodies too! Happy stuff! :)

Yay I love weekends. They seem to pass so quickly though.

Where do we go, nobody knows
I've gotta say I'm on my way down
God give me style and give me grace
God put a smile upon my face
Where do we go to draw the line
I've gotta say, I wasted all your time, oh honey honey
Where do I go to fall from grace
God put a smile upon your face, yeah
Now when you work it out I'm worse than you
Yeah when you work it out, I want it too
Now when you work out where to draw the line
Your guess is as good as mine...
Where do we go, nobody knows
Don't ever say you're on your way down, when..
God gave you style and gave you grace
And put a smile upon your face, oh yeah

Went sn for lunch yest with beeks, nee and peis. I think even the food is going to be affected by the wave of change (and I don't mean it in a good way) that's sweeping the school. When that happens, I don't think I wanna go back anymore. :( Ohh we went shopping after that and I bought a skirt from Mango! Am terrible shopaholic. Once I get my uni shoes, bag, jeans, tops, jacket, stationery, etc. I will stop. Yes. Had css foc followup at Changi Aloha yest evening. That place is seriously ulu. The bus ride was like 30 min. No place should be that far from an MRT.

Keppel award ceremony this afternoon! Took cable car to Mount Faber for it. Hoho got to see my face close up in the video. Faintly embarrassing. The reception rocked, as did the toilets. Seriously, the view while you're washing your hands is amazingly pretty.

Uni complicates things. It shouldn't, but it does, and it sucks.

Tuesday, July 04, 2006 8:23 PM

Went shopping with nee & peis yesterday! Yay it was a happy shopping day cos all of us bought stuff. I bought a sundress from Forever 21, and two tops from Zara. Haha yellow's my colour of the month! It's a happy colour. Six months ago I wouldn't have poked it with a ten-foot pole, but I like it now. :):) Ran into lots of ppl while out! Yaay love shopping. Wanna go again soon but am broke. Or will be if I continue. But need new clothes for uni! Am v into dresses all of a sudden, even thought yest I bought my first one. Haha. But like I'm gonna wear a dress to school like that.

Western Dance brunch gathering at Sam's house this morn! We had strawberry raisin cupcakes and canapes and fries and tiramisu. Haha strange combi. Anyway, she'll be off to Aussie soon. Haii it seems like a lot of ppl are going overseas to study. I hope the ones left behind will continue to stay together. Cos, whether I want to admit it or not, the ones going overseas are kind of the glue holding groups of people together. We'll miss them loads.

Going to Clarisse's house later for Italy vs. Germany! Hoho I've got a bet on with Haz... If I win he treats sushi, if he wins I treat fast food. Yay I've got the better end of the deal. :)

Watched football at Serjing's house last night. How's it possible that what should have been two of the most exciting matches of the Cup turned out to be two of the most disappointing? England fumbled so badly and Brazil's performance lacked lustre. So now two golden teams are out. And no more Spain either. Feel v sad for England though cos it's obvious they wanted it so much. It's terrible seeing guys cry. :( Germany had better win.

Hoho my OG is damn on. They met up for football viewing on Fri night and last night, and they're planning another session on Tues night. And then clubbing on Wed. There's no way I can keep up with it all.

Saturday, July 01, 2006 9:58 AM

Am back from Law camp! :):)

It was super fun! Night Court was terrifying and terribly entertaining at the same time. The scavenger hunt had us running around town in fbts and slippers. We had land telematches and water telematches, a water bomb war, and I had to shampoo some guy's hair Herbal-Essence-esque for a game. On the last night we had a formal dinner- think prom dresses, makeup and heels. Finally got to meet my Secret Pal, Leonardo DiCaprio, whom I had to talk to blindfolded on the first 4 days of the camp. Went clubbing at MoS with my OG after that! Had a damn good time, even though I wasn't high at first and felt really awkward dancing. Why do people assume that just cos I'm from WD, I can dance freestyle? Anyway, finally got drunk on music, not alcohol. Haha danced till the last song ended, then went for breakfast at Macs. :) Hoho my OG rocks. Great people to talk to and hang out with. I think we broke the record for the most number of games lost though, so we had to do the most forfeits, which were thought up by the sickest minds in Law School. And the guys are really into acting gay, for some reason. Besides spending a lot of time playing bridge and eating, we watched South Park and Hardgay. Ohh Law ppl seem to have v similar music tastes! Got to listen to Coldplay on someone's laptop, and I liked all the songs they performed at the formal dinner. Haha the guy-girl ratio for the camp was about 2:1, which is kind of weird cos I was told that Law has more girls. Speaking of girls, the year 2 girls are seriously perfect- v good figures and really pretty as well, and this is referring to about 90% of them. We have huge shoes to fill. Eh I think the people in Law are kind of wild though, qt a number smoke and drink. Still, I'm liking this fac. :)

cher
21, in law school and loving it (most of it, at least). a sucker for white roses and fairytale endings, snail mail and pretty cupcakes. emo songs are soul food. tea and chocolate are staples. food is happy stuff. everyone should read to kill a mockingbird and the desiderata, and watch amelie, and bake bread just for the smell of it. walking at night is nice, sometimes.

hello there :)
