Am supp to be writing my part of the legal theory essay but I keep taking mini naps which leave me feeling more drained than before. Urgh. Why did the court in Airedale decide it needed 10 judges? Why are the judgments so long? Why didn't they just concur?

I want our HK holiday like now.

And what a very slack week it's been. I feel like I haven't learnt anything or done any work this week. Not good, considering it's less than a month to exams. MUST start working harder. Somehow I seem to have lost the motivation to study though. Hence the horrible grades. :(

Crim C ended early today so Dennis and I had fun drawing caricatures in 3-7. GUESS WHO!!! :) (Please let me know if you don't want your picture up here.)
Lunch was good. :) Ice-cream at Estivo followed by fish&chips from Greenwood Fish Market, eaten at a random bench in a random park. Impromptu picnic! Haha until it started raining. Then we adjourned to the btc canteen. -_-

Met the tribers for dinner! I only stayed for an hour but it was good talking nonetheless. Some things never change, and that's a good thing. :) Heeee and jacs v nicely helped me get krispy kreme doughnuts from HK! Yummy stuff. :):) The New York Cheesecake one is especially heavenly (and sinful; isn't it odd how you can use the words together like that).

After dinner, met jq and rushed back to btc for the Law Frat Concert. By the time I got there zhengx and jb were alr drunk. -_- Qt a scary sight to behold, to be honest.

Had dinner at Al-Ameen after the concert. Lost my appetite cos of the cat(s) that kept walking up and down; I had to keep jumping out of my seat to take 5-min walks. Booo. Plus I was so sleepy.

Sth that happened today pissed me off quite a bit.

I went through it once before, I don't want it to happen again. It's unfounded and stupid and ridiculous and annoying, and I really want to say sth caustic and scathing, but I won't. Don't make me.

The past few days have been good. :):) On tuesday I watched Mr Bean's Holiday, bringing the movie count to 4 in a week. And on wednesday I met lovely people for a lovely lunch. :):) Haven't seen them in a long long time! (Uh, I see beek and g nearly everyday, but not the same.) Esp j, who's back from London and looking damn glam and tan and yet not one bit different. :) We ate Indian food at Chad Masala (at Greenwood, behind nj but I'm not sure exactly where; we cabbed in and out, although to our credit we did attempt to walk), which is apparently owned by the aunt of someone we know. Had a great time catching up. Really really miss my friends. :) And the people there were very nice!! We ordered two lassis but they gave us five, the remaining three on the house. And although the platter was meant for four people, they gave us five of everything, without us even asking. Wheee this is what I call good service (although I have to say it comes at a price). :)

Lunch today was good too. We went to turf city for dimsum!! The restaurant is very funny; dimsum is 50% off from Mon-Sat, and 30% off on Sundays and Public Holidays. Trying to make it sound like we're getting a damn good deal. Haha. I love these impromptu things. :)

And my room faces the sun so it's a furnace in here. :( And I'm so bored that I'm msning my sis (who's just downstairs) and fighting with her over who has nicer emoticons. Urgh.

In the past one and a half weeks or so, I (physically) bought one turquoise top and ordered (online) one clutch, one dress and two tops. I AM BROKE. :( Have resolved to leave my i-banking thingamajig at home cos I seem to spend the most money while in crim / legal theory seminars. But it's not my fault I have no time to go out and buy things like normal people anymore. :( NO MORE SHOPPING FOR ME!

Law bash at Butter Factory last night. Realised, for the fifth time, that clubbing is just not my thing. Good music (some of the time) and good company, but I'd rather have been out having supper or sth. And supper was good, even though pakwing nearly scraped a cab while driving us there, resulting in law kings bickering like an old couple.

(Only managed to take photos with one of the FLAWLESS.)

I am down to my last five pineapple tarts. :(

This CNY, I finished three entire containers of pineapple tarts by myself. That's like 5kg of butter and 8380527591 calories! But I liiiiiike. :):) Maybe I'll bake some this weekend.

Devlin's articles on the basis for weaving morality into the criminal law are really interesting, even though I don't agree with him. I like Dworkin too! They make for easily digestible reading. Too bad I can't say the same for the rest of the legal theorists. :(

Realised that exams are nearing. Only 2 contract tutorials left. Time to buck up.

Wasted an afternoon in school (met my cousin though! whee!) showing ppl around campus. V unhappening, plus after that we converged in the library to do work. Then went to meet peis, ade & yw for dinner! Haha we ate at din tai fung. Ordered qt little - hot and sour soup, fried rice and xiao long bao, but we ate until damn full! Haha cos of supplements all the way from london!! Peis's friend went to UK for an interview and met jy, who passed him the stuff, and he came back and passed peis the stuff, and we met and peis passed us stuff. V cute bunny cookies and little teacakes and mints and glazed cookies which look like lips and assorted chocolate. So lovely. :) JY, YOU ARE MISSED MUCHLY! Also miss nee & beeks & shih, who weren't there today.

Today:

1) I spent 2 and a 1/2 hours in the law review room frantically shoving custom-made post-its into 1000 goodie bags for tmr's law open house.
2) During tuition, I taught myself (and my tuition kid) froth flotation and the chemical principles behind paper chromatography.
3) I was going to take 7 to city hall and take mrt to bugis, but I missed my stop and found out that the bus went straight to bugis!
4) I had dinner at Indulge (an atas place) in rags - must go back there again sometime to try the other stuff on the menu.
5) I broke my slipper.
6) Dennis v nicely braved the CTE jam and drove us back. :)

I had dinner with hazlynta zhinvee tan today! Haha to catch up after a long, long time (although I just ran into him on fri). Went to holland v sushi tei! And then to gelare for waffles with ice-cream (my third scoop of ice-cream of the day). Heee. Haha he's as retarded as ever. :):)

Emo bug bites again. It's ruthless, and really unpredictable.

Hoho now that I've got my 10-min practice moot over and done with, it's time to sit back and enjoy the rest of the week. As glenda said (about herself), this week's like my freest week EVER. No contract tutorial, no memo, no essays due. :):) Of course, there's still tuition x 4 and crim & legal theory readings to be done, but compared to last week, this is the life.

Mich's birthday yesterday!! :) Went down early to East Coast macs to study with pakwing & jq. But didn't get much (if anything) done. What I did, though, was draw a lot of v artistic pictures; listen to pak's treatise on The Fall of the Chinese and the Deterioration of Chinese Culture (since ancient times, esp with regard to building bridges); wish for the earth to swallow me whole as pak & jq played THE *insert random taboo word* GAME; watch pak unabashedly strike various law king poses (while standing up in the middle of McCafe!); and eat. ALOT. Alr had a lot for breakfast and lunch. Then I ate nuggets, and kenny roger's corn muffin and macaroni & cheese. And ice-cream. And all this before mich's surprise dinner!


The evening brought caitlin with instructions, and we set out to surprise mich with a mini treasure hunt. One thing I found out during the treasure hunt: mich is damn damn damn damn blur. I cannot emphasise this more. She walked many rounds around macs before we caved in and gave her very obvious hints, like I FEEL LIKE EATING CAKE and pointing (while rubbing nose, for like 30 seconds) at McCafe. Mich: Eh are you having a flu? And when pak gave her the next clue: a picture of a pig, -G, +T. Mich:(after staring at it for awhile) ZHU-GE??? SERIOUSLY. But mich, we love you anyway. :)


It was a long walk from macs to pit 42 to Long Beach. But it was fun. Got a v incriminating video of mich playing THE *insert random taboo word* GAME. Heee. Met the rest, including ivan & hailing!! And dinner was goood. Black pepper crab & stuffed you tiao & garlic prawns & cockles & mee goreng & deep fried baby squid & otah & sambal kangkong. Wasn't as ex as I expected too! :)

The Pursuit of Happyness is a nice show!! It's about a man who's struggling to make ends meet. He's down and out, and you see he's really desperate. But somehow he doesn't seem to want to get a regular, stable job. He dreams big, and he goes all out to achieve what he sets out to do. Seems like your typical rags to riches story but it's more than that. Will Smith is v good, he makes you feel things. And his son (his real son plays his son in the show!) is really really adorable. Everyone shd go watch. :)

Anyone has the song/lyrics for The Prodigal Son? Not the Keith Green one. I've been looking for this song for v v v long and I can't find it. :(

Wed: Because we know jon so well, for his birthday we gave him lingerie. A string of panties slung across the door (aka. the Visible Panty Line), lacy panties on his window, a purple pair tacked to his corkboard, a red pair draped over his pillow, and a very special one with a convenient hole in it (I've never seen anything like it) hung up together with the new Zara shirt we got him. Oh and many enormous multi-coloured balloons. The girls contorted ourselves and hid in various parts of his room, while the guys hid in the toilet. We heard the door bell ring, jojoy (deliberately loudly) bainian-ing to jon's parents. And then- WAAAA FAAAILLLL, clearly pakwing's voice. We jumped out, exclaiming 'PANTIES', but by then jon had already opened the toilet door and seen the guys. Sniff. Spoiled our surprise. :( Still, jon was clearly shocked by all the lingerie (and secretly happy). Haha so we achieved our aim in the end. :)

Hell week finally ended yesterday. Felt such a sense of relief as I printed out my stupid crim essay. But it's over!! So yay. After handing in our essays, sam & I adjourned to the lounge. And one by one everyone joined us till it was like a gambling party. :)


Lunch at the new jap restaurant at serene centre... I wouldn't recommend it. The food's not worth the price, and service was poor. BUT I had gastronomia ice-cream after that! Pistachio with almonds, v v nice. :)


Potluck at jon's house last night! Haha his house is like the communal meeting place now. So exciting. Good food & drinks, and even better company. :)




Today I got up at 12.30pm, a record for me!! Haha. Got my pay on thur so I treated my family to Prosperous Kitchen. And when I got home I saw that my wetseal dress had arrived in the mail!! WHEE!! What a good start to the weekend. Ohh when I went to buy muffins just now there was a rack of sweets in front of the counter. They were selling stuff like ring pops and push pops and candy lipstick and flavoured breath spray! DAMN CUTE!! Haha.
